Tampines GreenSpring Playground: Excavator & Truck
Located amongst the towering apartment blocks, the Tampines GreenSpring playground can be found between Our Tampines Hub and Masjid Darul Ghufran.
Tampines is known for its many interesting playgrounds. The one at Tampines GreenSpring is no exception and has been inspired by Tampines’ sand quarry heritage.

Dominating the Tampines GreenSpring playground is a tall brown and tan tower known as the Sand Mining Tower. Make the climb up to the top and then take the enclosed tube slide that spirals downwards.
Just beside the play tower is another highlight of the playground. A small play platform has been dressed up to look like an excavator – something that you would find at a sand quarry. Young kids can climb into the excavator’s cab and pretend that they are operating the excavator.
The innovative feature about this excavator is that a set of low, orange monkey bars double up as the excavator’s arm. Kids can attempt to swing across the different rungs of the excavator across to the other side where a mini “bucket” serves as the a platform.
Another highlight of the Tampines GreenSpring playground is a truck play structure. With a ramp leading into the truck from the rear, kids can play pretend within the truck, which is reminiscent of the trucks that would transport sand out of a quarry.
The sand truck is also a mini slide that young kids can enjoy. A curved arc serves as a separate way for kids to enter into the truck and enjoy some fun within its red and white interior.
Other Play Features at the Tampines GreenSpring Playground
Kids can also enjoy other fun with the other play elements at the Tampines GreenSpring playground.
There are a set of swings where they can enjoy swaying back and forth through the air.
Feeling active? How about springing up and down on the trampoline embedded into the playground’s padded floor.
Feeling competitive? There is a pair of bikes that kids can hop onboard and pedal away on. The Speed Racer equipment is an interactive board games where kids race electronically by pedalling away.
