Visit a ground-up, inclusive arts festival during the March school holidays 2018, Superhero We Festival 2018. Presented by Lien Foundation and Enabling Village, the Superhero We Festival 2018 aims to empower children of all abilities and promote inclusiveness.
From 10 to 17 March 2018, Superhero We Festival 2018 will be held at the Enabling Village at Lengkok Bahru. The theme of the festival is WILD CHILD.
Fostering Inclusion Through Play
During the Superhero We Festival 2018, members of the public can enjoy a host of inclusive activities including dance, crafts, storytelling sessions and music workshops on 10 and 17 March 2018. These activities have been designed to encourage children of all abilities to mingle together and foster inclusion.
Among the free activities is a storytelling-and-craft session based on the story of the Stone Soup, an old folktale, a drumming jam session led by musicians from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and leaf-pressing crafts.

There will also be several ticketed programmes at Superhero We Festival 2018. These include a three-day inclusive arts camp where children between six to 10 years old of all abilities will get to learn and grow together through activities.
Another ticketed event is the Family Wild Dance, a dance workshop based on a story of islanders who are planting trees together. The workshop draws on the idea of interdependence and is suitable for families with children between four and 12.
Or go on an Art Jam with Pathlight Artists, a collaborative activity where everyone brings their creativity to the session and will come away with a canvas artwork based on the festival’s theme.
Free Play Festival Area
In addition to the programmed activities, Superhero We Festival 2018 will feature free play areas for children. At the free play area is the Octopus Obstacle, a wooden obstacle course that is designed to be wheelchair accessible. There will also be Maze to Dinner which consists of a series of tents that feature stories by children from Kindle Garden, Singapore’s first inclusive preschool.
These free play areas are open from 11 am to 6 pm on 10 and 17 March and from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm on 12 to 16 March.
