Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, in the northwest of Singapore, consists of wetlands with mangrove swamps, mudflats and fresh water areas. First stop for most visitors is the Visitor Centre where you can find out about the wildlife in the Reserve. Visitors can then follow a series of boardwalks build over the wetlands to view native floar and fauna including the white-collared kingfisher, crabs, monitor lizards and mudskippers. Try spotting the different flora and fauna found in the Reserve, which during certain times of the year, plays host to migratory birds flying through Singapore.
