Sharing is caring!

SPD Ability Walk and Run 2019 is the 4th walk that SPD is organising to raise funds in aid of its programmes and services. They comprise of therapy, vocational skills training, assistive technology, early intervention, day care, employment and educational & social support that enable and empower people with disabilities to be independent and self-reliant. All funds raised will be channelled to help over 9,500 people with disabilities access the programmes and services offered at SPD.

This event also aims to provide an opportunity for everyone of different abilities to interact together and serves to promote inclusion and raise awareness of disabilities. There will also be a post-event carnival where participants can enjoy food, games, activities and stage performances.

Participants who have signed up for the event will receive an event t-shirt, towel and drawstring bag. This year, we will be introducing a 5km fun run category in addition to the usual 3km fun walk, with the intention of attracting leisure runners to join in this meaningful event.

Participants enjoy a scenic route through the Singapore River from Boat Quay to Clarke Quay. Run participants also get a glimpse of Robertson Quay as well as the majestic Merlion.
