
Singapore Science Festival 2019 is back from 30 August to 14 September 2019 with the theme “This is Science”. The annual celebration of Science, now into its 19th year, features performances, talks and activities that Science is not only all around but fun too.
Here are some of the highlights of this year’s Singapore Science Festival 2019.
Singapore Science Festival 2019
The Magical Math and Science Show
When: 30 to 31 August 2019, 4 pm
Where: Plaza Singapura

Eddie Goldstein, a Science communicator, will be presenting a show that combines demonstrations with interesting explanations and slight-of-hand magic as part of the Singapore Science Festival 2019.

Science Buskers Festival 2019
When: 30 to 31 August 2019, 10 am to 6 pm
Where: Plaza Singapura
A mainstay of the Singapore Science Festival, this year, watch a group of young buskers put their Science communication skills on display as they demonstrate their love for Science.
The Incredible Edibles, The Chemistry of Cookies by Kate Mulcahy
When: 7 to 8 September 2019, 3 pm to 3.30 pm
Where: Plaza Singapura
Scientist Kate Mulcahy breakdown the ingredients that go into the making of cookie. Discover the chemistry behind the baking of your favourite sweet treat.
Special Science Show by Royal Institution
When: 10 to 14 September 2019
Where: 10 to 12 September at the Science Centre Singapore, 13 to 14 at Fusionopolis One, Genexis Theatre, Various timings
Witness the spectacle of Science through live demonstrations at the Special Science Show by the UK’s Royal Institution. Suitable for ages 5 and above.
X-periment!
When: 13 to 14 September 2019
Where: Fusionopolis One Atrium
Come and see the latest innovations in Science as enterprises and institutions exhibit at X-periment. This year, the Singapore Science Festival 2019 is also aiming to enter the Singapore Book of Records with the largest slime installation on 13 September. Families can be a part of the record-breaking attempt too!
The Inflatable Organ Experience
When: 9 to 12 September 2019, Science Centre Singapore, 13 to 14 September 2109, Fusionopolis One Atrium.
Enter inflatable versions of two of the most important organs in the human body – the lungs and digestive system. At the same time, learna bout the role they play and what can be done to keep them healthy. Suitable for ages 5 and up.
