
The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) 2019 project aims to spread the festive cheer and love to 43,276 beneficiaries this year. Beyond that simply the distribution of gifts, it also aims to remind the beneficiaries that they are not alone.
Gifts come in the form of either food hampers which are delivered to the recipient’s home, known as General Wishes, or specific items which the beneficiaries have asked for, known as Specific Wishes.
Here are some practical ways which you can make a difference by contributing to The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) 2019 project.
1. Donation of Items for Food Hampers
Gifts can be donated at various FairPrice outlets island wide from now till 18 December 2019.

Items required for General Wishes include rice, biscuits, instant noodles, beverages such as MILO, 3 in 1 Coffee, 3 in 1 Cereal, Adult Milk Powder, and Halal-certified canned food like sardines, curry and tuna.
The General Wishes collection locations are FairPrice outlets at Bukit Timah Plaza, Bishan Junction 8, Bedok Mall, Tampines Mall, Toa Payoh HDB Hub, Ang Mo Kio Hub, Hougang One, Jurong Point, NEX, Kallange Wave Mall, JEM and Warehouse Club.
2. Granting Specific Wishes
Specific Wishes are specially requested for by beneficiaries identified by Social Service Agencies and with gross household income below $1,700 per month. Items include things such as adult diapers, school bags or toasters.
Specific Wishes can be found on Wish Trees located at eight FairPrice outlets. These are found at Ang Mo Kio Hub, Hougang One, Jurong Point, NEX, Kallang Wave Mall, JEM, Warehouse Club and Our Tampines Hub.
3. Online Donations
Those who wish to donate can also do so by purchasing household hampers valued at $20, $50 and $80 via NTUC FairPrice’s online portal or donating at any AXS station.
4. PayNow QR Code Donations
It is also possible to make a donation via PayNow QR Codes at the 13 FairPrice collection points. The PayNow QR Code can also be found at nine banks – Bank of China, CitiBank, DBS/POSB, HSBC, ICBC, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered and UOB.
5. Delivery of Food Hampers
Members of the public are also welcomed to take part in The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift by helping to deliver gifts to beneficiaries.
The delivery runs will take place till 28 December (excluding eve of and on Public Holidays) with three hamper delivery sessions at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. 10 cars required for each time slot.
