Located at Pasir Ris Street 11, Park Aquaria has recently received makeover and the community space has new play spaces for kids as well as other amenities for residents. With a name that seems to be inspired by an aquarium, there are different aquatic motifs at the park but what will certainly attract families with young children is the Park Aquaria playground.
Park Aquaria Playground
Previously, the playground at Park Aquaria was not as big compared to some of the other playgrounds around Pasir Ris. However, it has been given a boat themed revamp that is sure to excite kids.

The Park Aquaria playground is divided into two sections – one for younger kids and another older ones who are 5 to 12 years old.

Part of the playground had previously been closed off but when we visited on the morning of 1 November, the works had been completed and all of the playground was open.
Fishing Boats
This section of the Park Aquaria Playground is suitable for older kids.
Here, there are two boats that kids can explore. One of these looks like a large fishing trawler. With a blue, white and yellow livery, they look fresh and inviting.
Inside, climbing nets crisscross between the boats, providing a way for intrepid kids to explore the play structure. There are also climbing handhold at a ramp that kids can use to reach different parts of the playground.
Slides also provide a way for kids to exit the playground structure and there is another basket swing here for kids to enjoy too.
Kids can also use the various steps to go up and down the various sections of the trawler boat playground at Pasir Ris’ Park Aquaria.
Sail Boats
A second section of the Park Aquaria playground is more suitable for younger kids and features two boat structures with climbing nets that have been docked side by side. Kids can make their way between the two boats using a connecting bridge.
Kids can even pretend to sail the boats by taking control of a a ship’s wheel on one of the little boats.
There are low slides that lead out from the boats.
Also beside the boats, there is a hammock swing and a basket swing for young kids to sway about.
There are also play panels at this section of the Park Aquaria playground.
Parents will surely appreciate the open spaces where kids can scoot and bike around too.
Another feature at Park Aquaria is a blue whale statue, a nod to the sea! This is a community art sculpture that was painted by residents and is located off to the side of the park, next to the jogging track.
Fitness Areas at Park Aquaria Pasir Ris
Park Aquaria is part of HDB’s Remaking-of-Heartlands and Sport Singapore Sports-in-Precinct initiatives.
In addition to the kids playground, there are also elderly fitness stations, fitness stations and a jogging track.
Active residents will also appreciate the hybrid basketball and futsal court that is fully sheltered.
