Take to the skies with kites at the NTUC Income Kite Festival Singapore presented by ACT 3 International.
Now into its sixth installment, the Kite Festival will be held on 23 and 24 August at The Promontory @ Marina Bay and promises a fun-filled weekend of kite and lifestyle-related activities. In addition to kite performances by professional kiters, there will be kite making workshop and arts performances held over the weekend. Visitors are also welcomed to fly their own kites or can purchase one from the Festival Kite Shop.
This year’s festival includes new arts-related elements. These include 15 ‘living’ statues from countries such as the Netherlands, Portugal, and Russia, an exhibition of six giant kites ranging from 10 to 12 metres in circumference by Italian kite flyer and maker Arnaldo Mazzetto. There will even be a fun youth programme of parkour performances.
The weekend festival will also feature over 15 street artists such as jugglers, magicians and acrobats.
