National Day 2022 is here and this is when there are plenty of celebrations all around the island to join in to mark Singapore’s “birthday”! Whether it’s indoors, outdoors, in the city, in the suburbs, out in nature, in your neighbourhood, at the museums – there are different options for families who wish to join in National Day Celebrations 2022 this year.

Stronger Together, Majulah! at National Museum of Singapore (9 Aug)

Admission to all galleries is free on National Day, 9 Aug 2022! You can also look forward to an outdoor playground, a National Day hunt in the galleries, painting batik based on Singapore’s icons, lively music performances, outdoor old-school games and story-telling sessions. There will also be a live telecast of the National Day Parade outdoors, and images of past parades will be projected on the museum’s façade. Find out more here

Get to Agora Colearning at Harbourfront for the Ohana Games on 9 and 10 August 2022! The Ohana Games is a uniquely Singaporean-themed event where parents and children can experience active fun together while celebrating the nation’s 57th birthday with a trip down memory lane. It is an awesome chance for kids to get outdoors and active while learning about Singapore’s history in a fun way.

At the Ohana Games, participants will be able to experience five different game stations, each with its own spin on Singapore’s heritage. And since it’s non-competitive, you can enjoy each station at your own pace at this family-friendly event. Sign up to join the games here.


The More We Get Together at Our Tampines Hub (6 to 9 Aug)

Calling all Tampinesians! It’s party time at the Our Tampines Hub Town Square on 9 August, Tuesday. If you love laser tag, there’s also archery tag, NERF war, Sabre tag, tank warfare and F1 Stimulators at Central Plaza and Space. Bring mum and grandma to Singapore Garden Festival 2022 downtown at Singapore Botanic Gardens, ION Orchard and Ngee Ann City. Entry to National Orchid Garden is free for local residents, and you can see the magnificent displays of heritage orchids, award-winning breeds as well as the show gardens in their vibrance. One Punggol’s National Day Celebration (9 Aug)

The integrated community hub in Punggol will be hosting its inaugural National Day 2022 celebrations on 9 August! Residents can join in the carnival activities, stage performances, magic shows, arts and craft workshops, bouncy castles, photo booths, free movie screenings and the live screening of the National Day Parade at Celebration Square. From 9 am to 9 pm on 9 August, join in National Day Fiesta at Singapore Sports Hub. If you love puzzles and escape rooms, take part in the Amazing Sport Heritage 5+7 Challenge. Gardens By The Bay & MediaCorp’s National Day Concert (6 Aug)

Audiences to the Gardens by the Bay National Day concert will get to enjoy an electrifying ensemble of musical performances and laugh-out-loud comedy segments starring beloved multicultural local talents. To conclude the concert, there will be 500 drones lighting up the night sky in the formation of the Singapore flag as audiences recite The Pledge and sing the National Anthem. Details here.


My Community Festival 2022 (5 to 21 Aug)

Take part in the My Community Festival 2022 – precinct guided tours, food experiences, religious tours, island tours and more from now to late August. During the National Day weekend, you can opt for Senoko Fishery Port tours, after hours tours at Bukit Brown, Pasir Panjang wholesale Centre, Toa Payoh and also see Jalan Besar Rental Flats, Boys’ Town or head to places in Singapore serving Russian, Belgium, Taiwanese, Vietnamese food. National Day Parade Heartland Celebrations (6 & 7 Aug)

If you have your tickets, join in the National Day Parade Heartland Celebrations in Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Punggol Waterway Point, Sembawang MRT, Buona Vista MRT, Wisma Geylang Serai. While all tickets have been redeemed, you can still try to spot the Red Lions at two sites – Bishan Junction 8 and North Buona Vista Road.
