Singapore Zoo’s four koalas are looking to go native ahead of the SG50 Jubilee weekend with new Singapore names.

A gift from Australia to Singapore, members of the public are invited to gift the cuddly foursome with local, Singaporean names in keeping with characteristics and personalities. The koalas’ existing names are Pellita, Chan (pronounced ‘Shen’ and short for Chantelle), Paddle and Idalia.

One round of shortlisting will be conducted by Singapore Zoo and the koalas will pick their own names in a ceremony in August.

Participants stand to win Singapore Zoo tickets.
