Each year, NTUC FairPrice runs its annual FairPrice Share-A-Textbook project where it invites donations of pre-loved textbooks that are in good condition for the benefit of underprivileged students.
More Good Condition, Pre-loved Textbooks Needed
Currently, this community initiative has collected 350,000 pre-loved textbooks over the past three weeks. However, this is still 30 percent short of its target of collecting half a million textbooks to benefit about 25,000 underprivileged students this year.
About 25,000 students, between 7 to 16 years old, who were shortlisted from various social service organisations and Community Development Councils, will be given priority to collect textbooks on 10 December 2022 at Our Tampines Hub. Thereafter, the textbooks will be made available to the general public on 11 and 12 December.

Donation Deadline extended to 7 December
In an effort to collect more books, the cut-off date for donations to the NTUC FairPrice Share-A-Textbook has been extended from 30 November to 7 December 2022. This aims to allow more time for donors to drop off their books.
The textbooks can be donated at all FairPrice stores including FairPrice supermarkets, FairPrice Xtra hypermarkets, FairPrice Finest stores, Warehouse Club, and FairPrice Xpress outlets at Esso service stations – totalling 177 outlets in multiple retail formats spread across Singapore.
