Celebrate our nation’s 60th birthday at Singapore Discovery Centre this August with a vibrant celebration of the past, present and future! Head to the Jalan-Jalan Fair where traditional games and free snacks await. Kids can also enjoy free Electric Motor Car rides that’ll take them past iconic Singapore landmarks.
Then go on a self-guided Jalan-Jalan Quest within the galleries at Singapore Discovery Centre to uncover hidden hints and redeem an exclusive Gold Coin Enamel pin. For an even more immersive experience, register for the guided Day Zero bus tour that will pay a visit to historical sites nearby ($5 per person).

As part of the National Day celebrations, kids can enjoy hands-on activities such as assembling a diorama featuring Singapore’s sights and crafting an origami orchid, and they can also pose with SingaPaw at a Bus Stop 9865 photo spot. There will also be dramatised storytelling sessions, live music and dance performances!

9 & 10 August 2025, Singapore Navy Museum
On 9 and 10 August, celebrate Singapore’s 60th National Day with special programmes at the Singapore Navy Museum. Customise your own DIY buttons featuring unique Singapore and Navy designs. Collect a set of temporary tattoos exclusive to the Navy Museum and pick up a free audio guide to explore the museum. There will also be docent-led tours on 9 August at 11 am and 1 pm.
Kids can get a Naval Exploration Kit and use it to explore the Navy’s rich history while letting their creative juices flow by designing their own ensign and completing the fun activities within the booklet. Then take on the challenge of Otto’s Tentacle Takeover, where kids will have to find six priceless artefacts and exhibits hidden by the evil genius Otto around the museum and help Captain Simon save the day!
There are free hourly shuttle bus services from EXPO MRT to the Singapore Navy Museum on weekends and public holidays from 10 am to 2 pm – so you can arrive in style to celebrate National Day!

SG60 Homecoming Concert

The SG60 Homecoming Concert, headlined by acclaimed singers Stefanie Sun and Kit Chan, is the ultimate National Day sing-along. Other artists who will be there include regionally-celebrated singer-songwriter Sezairi, pop princess Regina Song, Mandopop folk-duo The Freshman (插班生), and groovy pop band SuperSonic! This event is by registration and registration is closed.

National Day Parade celebrations will extend to the Marina Bay area, with Gardens by the Bay serving as one of five satellite sites where the public can gather to catch a live telecast of the Parade. Rediscover the simple pleasures of Singapore’s past in our nostalgic, larger-than-life game zone. Enjoy free traditional snacks as you ‘chope’ your place at The Meadow, while stocks last. The Roving Art Studio will also be there for the public to dive into interactive art activities, discover the stories behind the artworks, and spark your creativity. Gather your friends and families together and celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday against the scenic backdrop of lush greenery. Visit Istana Open House on 3 August
3 August, Istana
Istana Open House will be on 3 August. It features live performances and family-friendly activities. Entry to the Istana grounds is free for Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents, and migrant domestic workers accompanying families. Other visitors pay an admission fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child (4 to 12 years).Additional fees apply for other activities, such as the Istana Heritage Tour and visiting the Villa.
For those who are keen to see the Istana grounds in details, sign up for a guided tour of the Istana grounds to explore its rich history, architectural heritage, and unique flora and fauna. The 1-hour walking tour begins at the Main Gate and features highlights such as the Villa, Japanese Garden, and Ceremonial Plaza. Tours are conducted in English and Mandarin every hour from 9am to 4pm. Fees apply*, and all proceeds go to the benefitting organisations supported by the President’s Challenge.
Majulah Fiesta 2025

SG60 National Day Celebrations at National Museum Singapore

View Canvas of Light: Our Nation’s Journey light projection show that will illuminate the façade of the museum from 18 July till 9 August and watch Singapore’s remarkable journey unfold through a mesmerising dance of light and colour. Step into a vibrant showcase where Singapore’s heritage comes alive through innovative digital technology and well-loved LEGO bricks.
You can also register your child for a National Day Colouring Competition on 9 August where they can use a template by the students from Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) as a base and let their imagination soar to make an artwork that is truly special. Other things to do on National Day at the National Museum of Singapore includes an Interactive Storytelling: The River Road (ticketed) and a free boat craft. There will also be community artwork on the Front Lawn, other drop-in crafts and more. End the day on 9 August by watching the National Day Parade live on a giant screen to celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday together. Singapore Symphony Orchestra National Day Concert 2025

The 8th SSO National Day Concert celebrates Singapore’s 60th birthday with a wide-ranging showcase of Singapore’s growing league of composers and musical artists. Displaying the brilliance of the phenomenal Singaporean saxophonist Lin Chien-Kwan and violinist Jonathan Ong, the programme features classics by Singaporean composers as well as new works, including an arrangement of songs by Charlie Lim and Dick Lee for voices and orchestra.
