Experience the Mid-Autumn Festival in a whole new light at Gardens by the Bay, with celebrations that fuse the traditional and the modern.
From 3 to 18 September, the Gardens comes aglow every evening with a dazzling displays, fun activities and cultural performances.
Official launch and lantern procession
4 Sept, from 6:30 pm
Golden Garden to Supertree Grove
Putting a modern spin on a traditional activity, our first-ever interactive lantern procession uses lanterns that are lit up with smartphones. Collection of free lantern start from 6 pm, on a first come first serve basis.

Giant lantern display and colonnade of lights
3 to 18 Sept, 7 pm to 11 pm daily
Golden Garden and Colonnade (Supertree Grove)
Spectacular, giant lantern sets that bring to life Asian stories of the moon such as Chang Er, The Jade Rabbit and The Ten Suns will be on display at various locations in the Gardens. Along the Colonnade, 4,000 colourful lanterns in a myriad of colours and designs decorated by the community hang overhead.
Craft and fringe activities
3 to 18 Sept, 7 pm to 10 pm daily
Immerse yourself in Chinese culture by trying out activities like lantern decorating, calligraphy and guessing of riddles (8 pm to 9:30 pm) at the craft booths. Some activities are chargeable.

The Theatre Practice brings the mind-bending, fast-talking madness of Story Challenge straight to you with on-the-spot improvisational storytelling, with the audience contributing themes and conditions for the stories to be told by the quick-thinking actors who have just five minutes to create each story.
