This Mid-Autumn Festival, fantastical lantern sets depicting a beautiful mythical world will adorn Gardens by the Bay. Based on the theme “Autumn of Fantasies”, Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 At Gardens By The Bay features larger-than-life lantern sets which will transport you to worlds unfettered by reality.

Lantern Displays

Celebrate an Autumn of Fantasies with dazzling lantern sets that bring to life imaginary worlds and natural wonders.

Leaping over the Dragon’s Gate, Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 in SingaporeIn “Leaping over the Dragon’s Gate”, Gardens by the Bay presents their widest lantern set to date. Spanning 70 metres across Dragonfly’s Lake, lay eyes upon a scene of carps which are braving strong currents and swimming upstream toward the Dragon’s Gate, in hopes of turning into dragons.

The Phoenix and the Peony, Supertree GroveAnother spectacular lantern set to look out for is “The Phoenix and the Peony” at the Supertree Grove, which symbolises nobility, harmony and affluence.

Sky Lanterns, Gardens by the Bay 2018There is also a set of larger-than-life Sky Lanterns which light up the night.

Rabbit lanternAround the Gardens are rabbit, crane and horticultural-themed lanterns too.

Mid-Autumn Wishes

Golden Wishing Tree at Gardens by the BayPen blessings for your loved ones under the shimmering full moon of the night, and drape them over the Golden Wishing Tree at Gardens by the Bay.

Or wish upon a star, and set it afloat a lit lotus lantern down the beautiful Dragonfly Lake.

6.00 pm to 11.00 pm (Fri to Sun)

Cultural Performances

A nightly programme of vibrant and diverse traditional arts performances by home-grown arts groups of different genres, cultures and ages await visitors to the Gardens.

Curated by co-organiser, the National Arts Council, the programmes include a line-up of Chinese opera performances, Malay dance, and Indian fusion music showcases.

Game Zone

Pop by the Fun Zone at Gardens By the Bay and let your children have a go at traditional local games such as Kuti Kuti, and Goli, amongst many other exciting games. When it’s your turn, bring on your “A” game and show these youngsters how it’s really done!

Garden Rhapsody: Tales of the Moon

Things to Do at Night in Singapore for KidsA visit to Gardens by the Bay is not complete without a light show extravaganza. Adding to the festivities at Mid-Autumn Festival 2018 At Gardens By The Bay is a special edition of the Garden Rhapsody, a choreography of lights and music, inspired by legends and songs of the moon.

Catch the light show nightly from Thursday 6 September to Sunday 30 September 2018.

When: 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm
