Marina Barrage is Singapore’s first city reservoir. Located at Marina South, the Barrage houses restaurants, a free gallery, open rooftop garden and water play area. It is popular spot for kite-flying.
The creation of the Marina Barrage resulted in Singapore’s fifteenth reservoir. It is popular with the kite-flying public who make their way to the grassy roof of the barrage building to unleash their kites in the strong winds. Kids will also enjoy wading in the water pools and playing among the dancing fountains. You can also visit the Sustainable Singapore Gallery housed within the Barrage. The gallery traces Singapore’s efforts towards environmental sustainability through the years. The barrage itself also provides a connection from Gardens by the Bay South to Gardens by the Bay East.
