If you are paying a visit to Singapore Zoo, River Wonders or Night Safari, you will find yourself at Mandai Wildlife East first. This is the central public area that connects to the abovementioned wildlife attractions as well as to the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree hotel.

The wildlife parks at Mandai have expanded so much in recent years with the opening of new attractions as well as spaces to draw in the public. 

Just as Mandai Wildlife West serves as a public space that connects to Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild Asia, Mandai Wildlife East is an arrival space for those heading to the wildlife parks like Singapore Zoo and Night Safari.

What was previously an open air car park has been transformed into a space with food and restaurants, as well as activities. 

Bus bays

Bus bays are located at the basement of Mandai Wildlife East while a multi-storey car park serves those arriving by private transport.

One of the landmarks that you will spot when you arrive at Mandai Wildlife East is a large sculpture of a pair of pangolins. The sculpture was created by brass artist Ketut Putrayasa, managed by Anjani Artisans, and is a tribute to the critically endangered Sunda pangolin, native to Singapore. 

It captures the protective bond between mother and child, making it the perfect spot for a photo for those visiting the wildlife parks.

One reason to spend some time at Mandai Wildlife East is to get some food into the tummy. 

There are several clusters where you can find food and restaurants at Mandai Wildlife East, the most prominent of these is along the Dining Alley.

Mandai Wildlife East’s Dining Alley is just beyond the Mother and Child pangolin statue. It is along the way to Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree and spots such as Cologo Camp.

Roberta’s Pizza

Roberta's Pizza

Enjoy wood-fired pizzas at this dining spot. Open from 11 am to 10 pm, daily.

 

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh

This well-known, local brand delivers Teochew-style pork rib soup. It is open from 11 am to 9 pm from Mondays to Fridays and opens ealier at 10.30 am on weekends and public holidays. 


Sushiro

Digital SUSHIRO (Digiro) at Mandai Wildlife East 

Sushi at the wildlife parks? Sushiro has you covered. This is Sushiro’s first digiro or digital Sushiro where you can pick your order from a digital conveyor belt and even play games on the screen. Read more about Sushiro at Mandai Wildlife East. Open daily from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm.

 

Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine

Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine

Attractions and Things to Do at Mandai Wildlife East

While Mandai Wildlife East may seem like a transitory space, there are a couple of things that you can do there as well. 

Mandai Boardwalk

How to get to the Mandai Boardwalk

The Mandai Boardwalk is a free public boardwalk at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve where you can take in breathtaking views of the Upper Seletar Reservoir and the Central Catchment Nature Reserve beside the water.

The meandering 3.3km Mandai Boardwalk skirts the perimeter of River Wonders and Singapore Zoo. It offers visitors a peaceful space to observe local wildlife along the edge of the waters of the reservoir.

The Mandai Shop

This is the gift shop at the exit of Singapore Zoo. However, you can also pay it a visit without having to pay for admission into Singapore Zoo. This makes it handy and convenient to pick up a Singapore Zoo gift if you so wish to. 


Toy Doctor (Opening in October 2025)

Toy Doctor by Mandai Wildlife Reserve is Southeast Asia’s first integrated plush care centre, providing professional toy restoration, engaging workshops, and role-play experiences.

 

ZooSchool

Mandai ZooSchool's Builder’s Promise

ZooSchool a partnership between Mandai Wildlife Group and NTUC First Campus. It introduces children to nature-based outdoor adventure programmes that nurture their innate curiosity, resilience and sense of adventure. It offers holiday programmes for children aged 3 to 12. 


Curiosity Cove (Not Yet Open)
