Enjoy a variety of activities, performances, talks and workshops at the Malay CultureFest 2019. Discover the traditions and culture of the wider Malay Nusantara and Singapore’s place in it. With the theme of Bangsa, meaning nation or people, the Malay CultureFest 2019 will explore how the movement of people and ideas have shaped identities.
Malay CultureFest 2019 Highlights
Highlights include dance performances by local and regional artists, and a theatre by Drama Box, performed in Malay and Chinese, which examines the displacement of the indigenous Malays and Orang Seletar.
There will also be a Pulau Ubin Cooking Class where participants will be shuttled from the Malay Heritage Centre to Pulau Ubin for a one-of-a-kind cooking class.
