Here are some of the events taking place around our tropical isle this week with Christmas just round the corner.
1. Christmas Paper Craft

Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay
Create Christmas cards inspired by the Christmas Wonderland Luminarie light sculptures at the Flower Dome. Admission charges apply.
2. Celebrate December
19 to 31 Dec
Esplanade
Listen to the sound of choirs, bands and other music groups at the Esplanade. Take part in a Mark Making Workshop at the Craft Corner from 4 pm to 8 pm on 20 & 21 December.
3. Celebrate Christmas at the National Museum of Singapore

National Museum of Singapore
Enjoy snow at the main entrance of the National Museum of Singapore, shop at a Christmas Edition Flea Market, say hello to Stilt Walkers and listen to Roving Musicians. Catch a screening of Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted on 20 Dec, 8pm. Take part in a Winter Finger Puppet Craft on Christmas Day, with carolling by the TAS Children’s Pop Choir too.
4. BookFest@Singapore 2014

Go shopping for books at this mega book fair organised by Popular.
5. ZooHoo Wildlife Warriors

Singapore Zoo
Become a Wildlife Warrior and learn about animal conservation at the Singapore Zoo this weekend. Also, take advantage of the special SG50 Feather Friends promotion offer at the Jurong Bird Park.
6. The Nutcracker by Kids Philharmonic
23 Dec, 8 pm
Victoria Concert Hall
Catch the children from the Kids Philharmonic orchestra presenting the quintessential holiday classic, The Nutcracker, at the Victoria Concert Hall. Tickets from SISTIC.
7. Celebrate Christmas in Singapore
18 to 25 December
Orchard Road
Orchard Road turns into a stage for song performances, dances and mass carolling, culminating in a Christmas Concert on 25 December. There will also be interactive booths with the colouring a Christmas Tapestry and a Charity Booth.
8. Puppetry in Action!
3 pm, Sunday, 21 December
Bukit Batok Public Library
Join The Pillow Police officers, Phil & Bella, in this fun, interactive storytelling session with puppets where you and your children will follow their adventures to help free the Zees.
9. Chinese Drama for Children – “The Forest of Thanks”
3 pm, Saturday, 20 December
Tampines Regional Library
A Chinese drama suitable for pre-school and primary level children, presented by the NTU Chinese Society. Free admission.
