Following the successful launch of ‘Let’s Lepak at Mount Faber’ in August, the car-free event returns on 3 September 2016 with two new activities for the public to enjoy for free.

The first is a two-hour heritage and nature guided walk along a section of the Southern Ridges. Kicking off at 4:30 pm at Telok Blangah Hill Park, the walk will pass through Henderson Waves and Mount Faber Loop before ending at the hilltop at Faber Peak. Along the way, participants will get to take in spectacular views of the city and Sentosa from different vantage points, and learn about the rich variety of flora and fauna as well as the rich heritage found along the ridge.

Interested participants are required to register at https://www.nparks.gov.sg/activities/events-and workshops/2016/9/southern-ridges-heritage-and-nature-trail-3-sep-2016.

The second event features Orienteering, a sport where runners have to find their way across terrains with the aid of a map and compass, utilising both navigation and map reading skills.  The Orienteering segment takes place from 4 pm to 6:30 pm and starts from Mount Faber Loop. Each participant is challenged to complete all ten checkpoints, with an opportunity to win prizes upon completion of the event.
