Those who love the world of racing will embrace LEGO’s latest set of wheels. LEGO has partnered iconic car and racing brands including BMW, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 team, McLaren Racing & Senna brand for its Speed Champions sets.
LEGO® Speed Champions Sets
There are eight sets for fans to race towards. Launched on 1st March were two LEGO® Speed Champions sets created in collaboration with partners at McLaren Racing and BMW, two LEGO® Technic™ cars from Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team, one LEGO® Icons car from McLaren and the Senna brand as well as two new racing inspired cars from LEGO® City.
One of the most successful F1 cars of all time has been recreated by LEGO® ICONS. The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 bas been developed in collaboration with McLaren Racing and the Senna brand. Marvel at the detailing and realistic functions of the 10330 LEGO ICONS McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna. It includes a working steering, rod suspension, an adjustable rear wing, slick tires, mirrors, gearshift and a turbocharged V6 engine. It also has a display stand and a Ayrton Senna minifig.
Adults will also gravitate towards the 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance. It is a 1:8 scale model for adults and features a working V6 engine with moving pistons as well as an opening wing, individual suspensions, functioning steering and slick tires.
While fathers work on the set, the kids’ version 42165 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance Pull Back will be a captivating one with lots of action-packed play. It looks authentic and its realistic movement will make racing moments come alive.
Another set for children ages 9+ is the 76919
LEGO® Speed Champions 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. Young fans can experience the black-and-papaya livery and iconic design details. This set also comes with a driver minifig for kids to place behind the wheel.
BMW fans will love the detailed models of 76922 LEGO® Speed Champions BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars. Families can enjoy the double pack and race both cars. Each race car has details highlighting the iconic BMW style and performance. The roofs are removable!
The youngest LEGO fans are not forgotten as LEGO® City has two racing-inspired sets for kids ages 4 plus including 60399 LEGO® City Green Race Car, 60406 LEGO® City Race Car and Car Carrier Truck. The green race car has a racing driver and photographer for fun role play, sporty tires and a cool rear spoiler. The city race car and car carrier truck, on the other hand, includes a race car featuring lower suspension, flared fenders plus a transporter with a loading ramp.
