Occupying a plot of land along Kings’s Road and a short walk away from Empress Road Market and Food Centre, King’s Road Park and its playground is a small green spot that serves the residents living in the area.
King’s Road Park Playground & Nature Playgarden
Opened in December 2025, the neighbourhood park is not large but it has several features that cater to those living in the neighbourhood.
The draw for kids will be the King’s Road Park playground. This is actually quite a modest affair and consists of a single play structure, small enough to fit into the park.

The King’s Road Park playground features a cargo net for climbing that is strung out on from one side of the structure. Kids can make use of this climbing net to ascend up to the playground’s elevated platform.
There are alternative ways to reach the elevated platform, including a rope ladder that is located beneath the platform itself.
From the heights of the platform, kids can make use of the green and brown straight slide to get back down to the padded flooring below.
This playground is designed for kids between the ages of 5 and 12 years old.
In addition to the playground structure, there is also what is termed as a “nature playgarden” in the park’s map.
In this case, the King’s Road Park’s nature playgarden consists of log stumps along some low interconnecting planks that younger children can make use of to practise their balance and increase their confidence.
We appreciate how there is seating next to the playground for caregivers.
King’s Road Park Dog Run
Another feature that can be found at King’s Road Park is a Dog Run.
Interestingly, there was a petition that was circulating back in 2021 for a dog run to be included in King’s Road Park. So it looks like that worked out!
Other Amenities at King’s Road Park
Other amenities that are available at King’s Road Park include a fitness corner, designed for those 14 years old and above, with stations like Push Hands, Air Skier and a Multi-Function Fitness Station.
There is also a shelter in the park.
Take note that the nearest public toilet is a 350 metres or a six minute walk away at the Empress Road Market and Food Centre. To reach it, you will have to walk along King’s Road.
The closest car park is also at Empress Road Market and Food Centre.
