Mix together the words “Play” and “Entrepreneur” and you get “Play-trepreneur”!
KidZ Flea returns to Sentosa for the third year this March School Holidays and Play-trepreneurs between the ages of 7 and 12 years old will be setting up shop at this special flea market to experience the thrill of being the “boss” and running their own business.
Between 15 to 23 March, expect to find everything from toys, books, handmade accessories to even manicure and face painting services at this special flea market run by children. As they interact with the public, budding entrepreneurs will get the chance to put into practise business skills they will learn in a special two-hour training session. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will be donated towards the event’s adopted charity, the Hospice Care Association. Last year’s KidZ Flea reaised about $10,000 for charity.
This year’s Play-trepreneurs will also be taking on the role of beach and water safety ambassadors for the first time. During Sentosa KidZ Flea, they will share with visitors tips on how to keep safe while enjoying a day out at the beach. Musical performances and magic shows will also be held over the course of the nine-day event.

Admission to Sentosa KidZ Flea is free but island admission charges apply.
Kids that wish to be Play-treprenuers and register to run a booth can do so at the Sentosa KidZ Flea website, www.sentosakidzflea.com. Registration is open till 13 March 2014.
