Gleneagles Hospital invites you and your family to Kids in Motion, an Injury-Prevention and Fitness development workshop on Saturday, 27 January 2018.
Many parents enrol their children in sports activities, but children who specialize in a sport too early could develop muscle imbalances, raising injury risk at a young age. Sport injuries accounted for a quarter of all injuries to children and adolescents. The trend is on the rise due to increasing participation in sports at all ages.
The workshop aims to educate adults and children age 7 to 13 years old on the right techniques to exercise safely. Through short lectures, hands-on exercises and activities, you will learn what is the best running gait and how to build foundational fitness to exercise injury-free for life.
The workshop will be conducted by Dr Lim Yi-Jia, Orthopaedic specialist from Gleneagles Hospital and Andrew Cheong, Head Coach of SSTAR.fitness.
