Jurong East Swimming Complex is located within the Jurong East Sports Centre, a  13 minute walk away from Chinese Garden MRT Station. It has partially reopened on 29 March 2026 after a period of renovation works.

The main draw of the swimming complex are its water play features for families, as well as its wave pool. The main competition pool has not yet reopened.

One notable change with the renovation is that the complex’s iconic water slide tower, which had several water slide rides, has been removed. In has been replaced by a large water play splash pad for kids.

Water Play Splash Pad

Water Play Splash Pad

The splash pad at Jurong East Swimming Complex features fountains, water jets and water tunnels that kids can enjoy.

The lively water play splash pad is a haven for younger children. Kids can dart between spurting fountains and giggle as they play with water sprays while water also flows down from higher fountains above.

Tipping buckets send water unexpectedly splashing down from above.

A pair of blue slides also provide some fun for kids who wish to splash along on a slippery ride.

Kiddy Pool

Shallow pools at Jurong East Swimming Complex

For really young kids, there is a kiddy pool – or more rightly put, a pair of kiddy pools.

These shallow pools can be found closer to the entrance.

Kiddy Pool

In the middle of the one of the kiddy pools at Jurong East Swimming Complex, there is a play structure with slides and water jets for kids to explore and enjoy. They can imagine that they are deep underwater with marine creatures like manta rays and killer whales swimming above them.

Wave Pool

Jurong East Swimming Complex is also home to a sizeable wave pool.

The wave pool goes as deep as 1.8 metres and it is advisable to enter in from the shallow end.

Getting to the wave pool

To get to the wave pool, you will need to take a bridge that goes across the lazy river.

Lazy River

Lazy River

Jurong East Swimming Complex’s lazy river rings around the wave pool.

Grab an inflatable float and go for a slow ride, floating along the gentle waters of the lazy river. Lean back, and let the water carry you along a scenic route that winds through lush landscaping which includes tunnels, including those created by the bridges that lead to the wave pool.

With its partial reopening, Jurong East Swimming Complex is geared towards families who are looking for a fun day out. The splash pad along with lazy river and wave pool make it a spot where kids can enjoy play in the water alongside parents – a great idea for hot and warm days.

The competition pool is expected to remain closed till the end of 2026. In the meantime, an alternative swimming complex for those looking to get in the laps can head to Jurong Lake Gardens where there is another ActiveSG swimming facility.
