
Here’s the scoop – it is Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2019 on Tuesday, 9 April 2019.
This annual event takes place from 12 pm to 8 pm at two Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops in Singapore – 313 @ Somerset and Block 8, Dempsey Road. Get in queue and enjoy free scoops from Ben & Jerry’s delicious range over 14 ice cream flavours.
The first Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day was held in 1979 in Burlington, Vermont. By 1993, every Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop in the United States was celebrating Free Cone Day with free ice cream for all. Nowadays, more than 1,000,000 scoops of Ben & Jerry’s are given away around the world on Free Cone Day.
In 2018, Ben & Jerry’s Singapore gave out a total of 22,800 scoops of ice cream on Free Scoop Day.

The Ultimate Conedown Challenge
Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2019 will also see the return of The Ultimate Conedown Challenge. The ice cream eating challenge will be take place at Ben & Jerry’s Flagship Scoop Shop at 313 @ Somerset from 12 pm to 5 pm.
To win, finish an entire ice cream cone in the fastest time. The 2018 champion, Poo Soon Heng, did it in 23 seconds.
The prize? A year’s worth of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream – 365 Ben & Jerry’s Scoop vouchers!
Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2019: Support The Cuff Road Project
This year, Ben & Jerry’s is once again teaming up with non-profit organisation Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2). Together, they aim to support migrant workers in Singapore through TWC2’s The Cuff Road Project which provides free meals to workers in need.
To play a part in supporting this cause, take a picture of your Ben & Jerry’s free ice cream scoop and share it on Instagram with hashtags #BenandJerrySG and #TWC2SG. Ben & Jerry’s will donate $1 to The Cuff Road Project with each post.
Last year, a total of 1,087 hashtags were garnered to support the Cuff Road Food Programme. Ben & Jerry’s further donated an additional $1,500 to bring the total amount to $2,587 donated towards the cause in 2018.
