With rustic tones of browns, yellows and beiges, the Hougang Olive playground is designed to both challenge and delight with two stand out play elements. These are a towering play structure as well as netted dome for younger one to explore.

The Hougang Olive playground also throws back to yesteryear with markings like hopscotch squares on the ground, as well as as the design of chicken tracks criss-crossing the ground.

Climbing Tower

Climbing Tower

What will immediately catch the eye is the Hougang Olive playground’s climbing tower. Rising above the rest of the playground, it’s draws in children who are eager to test their courage and coordination.

The elevated playground is made up of three towers – with platforms designed to look like chicken coops at the top of each tower. Each tower serves as an entry points, providing a varied of ways for kids of different abilities to enter in.

There are rope ladders for the nimble and even a spiralling net that gently winds its way up to one of the towers. As kids make their way up, they get rewarded with a sense of accomplishment and also a view that makes the climb worthwhile.

The platforms at the top of the three towers are interconnected by a series of rope bridges.

The quick route down is by using one of the two slides at the top of the tower.

netted hammock

For those who wish to stay closer to the ground, there is a netted hammock and a low climbing net between two of the towers as well.

Just a couple of steps away is the other dominant structure at the Hougang Olive playground. A set of stairs will take kids up and into the heart of the netted structure.

Climbing discs

Inside, the more adventurous kids can further ascent up to a higher tier. Or they can also play amongst the hanging discs that have been laid out inside the play dome.

In keeping with the chicken theme at the playground, there are also chicken rockers for little ones.

Kids can also go for a spin inside an egg-shaped rocker that rocks side-to-side and front-to-back.

Chicken Racer game

There is also a Chicken Racer Speed Racer game.
