Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood. These beloved stories are well-known to every child and have fuelled the imaginations of countless generations before.
Now, these stories come off the page and onto the stage in I Theatre’s children’s theatre production Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Playing at the Drama Centre Theatre from 1 to 17 November 2013, this full-scale Broadway-standard Musical is set to enthrall and entertain young and old alike with lively action, energetic physical theatre, music and song.
Classic Fairy Tales Come to Life
Within the space of 90 minutes, stories such as Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, The Valiant Tailor and Little Red Riding Hood will come to life on the Drama Centre stage. However, the Brothers Grimm wrote more than 200 tales, so don’t be surprised to discover new tales too!
At I Theatre’s Grimm’s Fairy Tales, catch a timeless collection of seven, or may eight, of these timeless tales, expertly weaved together to capture the imaginations of older children.

Be Entertained
Audiences will be drawn into a magical world of talking and singing beasts, princesses and servants, magic and mystery, heroes and villains. These are stories with a heart and the young will be able to take away strong lessons from them while parents will be entertained by the subtext and multi-layered performances.
Grimm’s Fairy Tales will present Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm’s classic folk tales in new and imaginative ways that encourage active learning through interaction. Discover the oral tradition of storytelling through song, puppetry and theatre.
This musical will feature the talents of Dwayne Lau, Elizabeth Loh, Daphne Ong, Darren Guo, Cassandra Spykerman, Juliana Ong, Jonathan Lum and Trevelyan Neo, together with the music of Bang Wenfu, choreography of Cathy Kee and the set design of Yu Hsien Chia.
