Located along Bukit Batok West Avenue 5, the HDB blocks at Goodview Gardens stand tall, rising up just like the slopes of Bukit Gombak just behind it. Similarly, the Goodview Gardens Playground is also a tall play structure with multiple levels where kids can explore and play.

The main Goodview Gardens playground can be found in front of Blocks 388A and 387, just beside a large hard court.

This Goodview Gardens playground opened back in 2023 and is designed for older kids, 5 to 12 years old.

Laid out in a square, the playground has different tiers where kids can play.

At the lowest level, kids can explore a series of passageways and bridge.

raised stepping stones

A set of raised stepping stones encourage kids to practise their sense of balance while a curved ladder provides a fun alternative way to reach one of the playground’s platforms.

There is more to explore on the higher levels of the playground where kids can make their way around the various corners of the play structure, imagining that they in an apartment complex.

There is a set of rung steps that lead up the higher level from one of the towers. This may be a bit more intimidating for kids as it will require them to balance carefully while navigating the rungs.

Ladders and steps

The higher levels can also be reached directly from the ground level via ladders and steps on the exterior of the playground.

tall closed slides

One of the highlights of the Goodview Gardens playground are the tall closed slides. These twirl down from the very top levels of the play structure and there are three of them! This creates plenty of play value as kids have to ascend to different towers to experience each of the slides.

Other features at the playground include sound play equipment like sound tubes and a blue hand drum.

There are seats located close to the playground too, providing parents and caregivers a place to sit while keeping a watchful eye on kids.

Younger children who may not yet be ready to experience the main Goodview Gardens playground can head over to another playground located in between Blocks 392 and 393.

This playground is much lower and less intimidating. It has a low platform as well as open slides and stepping stones. As a bonus, the playground is located amongst the nice landscaping of the gardens (even though the water in the stream was rather low when we visited).

There is also another playground for younger kids at Block 384.

Exploring the Area

Exploring the Area

If you are done playing at the Goodview Gardens playground and are looking to spend more time outdoors, Bukit Gombak Park is conveniently located next to the estate.

Over at Bukit Gombak Park, there is yet another playground. If you head up to the top of the park, you will come to a butterfly garden and may be able to spot more than a few of the fluttering insects flying about.
