
Gateway Theatre is turning 1 year old! Gateway Theatre celebrates its first birthday with a fun and colourful birthday party!
There will be a Carnival in the Sky Garden featuring food, interactive games, prizes, arts and crafts. Play games at our carnival booths for a chance to win prizes, or learn a few juggling tricks from our friendly Juggler, Jon Danger! There are other activities such as arts and crafts, face painting, balloon sculpting, kids dance showcase AND a mermaid!
In the Black Box theatre, there will be a kids show that features a giant balloon and giant puppets! The show opens with our friend Jon Danger, a magician who will show-off his incredible giant balloon trick.
This is followed by the intriguing and revealing story of The Spineless Jellyfish and Cunning Monkey. A story adapted from a Japanese folk tale by Samantha Scott-Blackhall and performed by Actress Amy Cheng.

After this the Diploma students from Lasalle College of the Arts, alongside their director Bright Ong, will perform their interpretation of The Spineless Jellyfish and Cunning monkey story using giant puppets. It’s going to be quite a spectacle!
