Inside a Lantern

Giant Revolving LanternA new addition to the type of lantern displays is a Giant Revolving Lantern. Inspired by the traditional “Zou Ma Deng” lantern which rotates as a result of the heat of a candle to give the illusion of horses running, the supersized version at Gardens by the Bay’s Mid-Autumn Festival 2019 measures 30 metres in diameter and is wrapped around a Supertree.
