
Gardeners’ Day Out promises an entire weekend of gardening and lifestyle activities for everyone. Favourite highlights include a Gardeners’ Market, Food Bazaar, free talks and demonstrations, free garden tour of HortPark and kids’ activities like storytelling and art & craft!
Family Activities:
Painting with Nature
Time: 9.30 am to 11.30 am
Venue: Seed Room
For 6 to 12 years old
Have fun making use of natural materials from the garden to make paintbrushes, and discover the different kind of textures that you can apply when creating your own masterpieces!
Bee Trail Tour (Special Introduction)
Time: 10.30 am and 11 am
This fun educational bee-themed trail will be one of the regular programmes offered for kids, featuring three different bee habitats in HortPark. Spot around 20 different bee species that live in the gardens, and learn about the many beneficial roles that native bees play, such as the pollination of edible food plants. You can explore the trail on your own or take part in guided walks.

Bottle Upcycling Workshop
Time: 12.00 pm – 12.40 pm
Venue: Lifestyle Corner
Learn to transform your empty plastic bottles into something fabulously eco-friendly, as The Smell Lab conducts a hands-on workshop for the public to upcycle and recycle its bottles. This workshop is family-friendly and kids with parental guidance are welcomed to join.
