Fun Wild Learning and Zoolympix at the Singapore Zoo during the June Holidays

Sharing is caring!

During the June School Holidays, parents and children visiting the Singapore Zoo can look forward to discovering more about wildlife and conservation through various activities.

Fun Wild Learning

Every weekend in the month of June, Fun Wild Learning activities will be taking place to help children to gain a better appreciation of animals and wildlife. Workshops planned over the weekends include performances, drama workshops, craft workshops and even a chance to learn animal poses in a special yoga workshop. In a collaboration with Discovery Kids, children can get a taste of what it is like to be featured in a Discovery Kids show and take a home a DVD of themselves hosting a 2-minute documentary.

Details on Fun Wild Learning can be found below. Activities are recommended for children between four and 12 years old.

Returning for the tenth year running is Zoolympix.

Focusing on the theme of poaching and the illegal wildlife trade this year, kids can become “Wildlife Rescue Rangers” for a day and go on a quest to save animals from the brink of extinction by locating five game stations around the Zoo. At the “wildlife camp base”, they will also be able to learn more about threatened species and how they can help spread the message about conservation.

Zoolympix takes place from 21 to 29 June 2014 and is recommended for children between five and 12 years old. A $3.00 Zoolympix passport can be purchased from the Zoo Retail Shop to participate in theZoolympix activity.
