You can now try Pickleball and play for free at Pickleconnect sessions held at PAssion Wave Bedok Reservoir and Hong Lim Green. Open to everyone whether or not they have touched a pickleball, the beginner-friendly sessions happen every Wednesday evening at Bedok Reservoir and every Thursday evening at Hong Lim Green.

Pickleball is an increasingly popular sport and Pickle Connect is all about strengthening community bonds for residents of all ages and backgrounds to come together. The sessions held at PA venues are safe spaces where anyone can learn the basics, understand the rules and build confidence on court.
Our Family’s Experience at Pickleconnect
As a family who loves pickleball, we love every opportunity we could get to play pickleball! With limited courts and a huge demand over supply of pickleball space, Pickle Connect is possibly the best life hack to getting a chance to try the popular sport.
First, we did our warm ups guided by coaches from PCP Asia. This is an essential part of preventing injuries during the sessions. Then we began with rules at the kitchen – an essential part of the game, followed by dinking.

We paired up to practise tossing the ball gently to each other, ensuring the ball lands in the kitchen. Then we proceeded to use our paddles to tap the ball gently and then hit it towards the other side. These were good practices in controlling the ball.
There were a few stations to visit at Pickleconnect to be better acquainted with the sport. It was my first time coming to a clinic with kitchen-only spaces which reduces the intimidation factor as opposed to starting with a full-sized court.
We ended the session with a “dink battle” and everyone had fun trying the sport out! It is a great way to familiarise people of all ages to the sport. The various stations set up enabled everyone to feel the ball and the desirable movements of the ball in a fairly foolproof manner.

Then join the Pickleconnect WhatsApp community where updates and announcements will be shared.
You may also sign up for each session through the Reclub app.
At both venues – PAssion Wave @ Bedok Reservoir and imPAct @ Hong Lim Green, there will be two sheltered courts in use, subject to availability – at least one sheltered court will
always be open. An additional two training courts (kitchen area only) will be available if
required.
Vending Machines, water points, toilets and showers are available at each location.
Timings for Pickleconnect:
6.30 to 9 pm at PAssion Wave @ Bedok Reservoir every Wednesday
6.30 to 9 pm at imPAct @ Hong Lim Green every Thursday
