Learn more the technology behind how newspapers and magazines were printed in this fun and speedy activity by the Malay Heritage Centre! With just a few household materials, experience how prints were produced by drawing your own design and transferring the image onto paper.
This programme is suitable for children aged 4-12 years old.
Admission is free but advance registration is required. Each registration is for a parent-child pair.
This activity is inspired by the Malay Heritage Centre’s travelling exhibition Printers and Publishers, on display at the National Libraries from June to September 2017. If you’re feeling adventurous, pick up a trail map of the old Malay printing industry in Kampong Gelam at the exhibition’s venue.
