It is time to bid a fond farewell to four furry friends at the Singapore Zoo.
Over the last six months, four koalas from Down Under have been guests at the Singapore Zoo. Here to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Australia and Singapore, they came as Chan, Idalia, Paddle and Pellita and, are leaving Cantik, Sayang, Nila and Manja, local names which they chose for themselves.
To celebrate the marsupials’ last few weeks in the Lion City, the Singapore Zoo is throwing a farewell bash for them. Before they disappear from the public eye on 3 January 2016 for a month of quarantine, koala-themed activities will be held in their honour over the weekends of December.
Starting 5 December, visitors to the Singapore Zoo can look forward to mascot appearances, games challenges, party crafts, magic shows and an interactive story trail over the weekends.
