After two years in operation, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden, the themed café at Changi Airport Terminal 3 will be closing for good on 8 February 2019.

Hello Kitty Orchid Garden, the world’s first 24-hour Hello Kitty café opened 12 May 2016, attracting fans of the cat with no mouth to its garden-themed dining experience.

Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Farewell Tea Parties

As part of its send off, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden will be throwing a series of farewell tea parties over two weekends of December 2018.

During the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden farewell tea parties which will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on 8, 9, 15 and 16 December 2018, fans can enjoy canapé renditions of the café’s signature dishes, selection of gelato and refreshments, exclusive Hello Kitty Orchid Garden merchandise, and personalised Hello Kitty autographed Thank You cards!

There will also be games, quizzes and lucky draws during the tea parties. Fans will stand a chance to win exclusive Hello Kitty dining table sets, serving ware and merchandise! Party guests will also enjoy 20% off all merchandise purchased during the tea party.

Tickets are priced at $138 nett per ticket for two persons and include two Hello Kitty Orchid Garden limited edition Orchids For You Figurines worth $49 each. Limited tickets are available for sale online from 12 October 2018.

Closing of Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe

The café is owned and operated by Europa Specialty Restaurant (S) Pte Ltd, a licensed partner of Sanrio Co., Ltd.

Addressing the café’s closure, Fiona Chin, Assistant Manager, Marketing, at Europa Specialty Restaurant (S) Pte Ltd shared, “With the end of our license and partnership with Sanrio Co., Ltd, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden will be closed permanently. We would like to express gratitude and appreciation to all the fans and supporters of the café. We are humbled by the support and look forward to bringing our customers more exciting F&B themes and concepts!”
