Kumihimo (thread-gathering) is a traditional Japanese technique of braiding which produces colourful cords that serve both functional and decorative purposes. It is used to create obijime, a belt which holds the obi of a kimono in place, samurai armours, and even friendship bands!

Join in this workshop at the Esplanade and create your own intricately designed kumihimo bracelet!
