The Cold Storage Oishi Festival brings a taste of fresh produce from Japan to Cold Storage supermarkets around Singapore from 30 June to 13 July.

The selection of produce includes Japanese summer fruit such as juicy Takami Melons and sweet Momo Peaches. Also on sale is creamy Hokkaido 3.6 Premium Milk, specially vacuum packed to seal in the goodness.

Hokkaido MilkIn addition to the promotions around Cold Storage outlets, an Oishi Festival Atrium Fair will be held at Plaza Singapura Level One Atrium. Highlights visitors can look forward to at the fair include Hokkaido beef rice bowls, lavender ice cream and strawberry snow ice.

Cold Storage Oishi Festival’s official grand opening will take place on 5 July, 12 pm at Plaza Singapura with a traditional Kagami Biraki or sake breaking ceremony. The anime characters from “Love Live!” will also be present to mingle with the crowds.

Little Miss Bento Workshops and Manga Mingling

Other events being held in conjunction with Cold Storage Oishii Fair include bento-making workshops by Shirley Wong of Little Miss Bento fame.

Her workshops will be held on 2 July, 1 pm to 2 pm, at Cold Storage Great World City and 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm at Cold Storage Causeway Point.

Manga characters from Touken Ranbu and Sailor Moon will be making appearances at Cold Storage stores at Plaza Singapura (1 July, 1.30 pm to 3 pm), Compass One Shopping Centre (1 July, 4.30 pm to 6 pm), Ngee Ann City (8 July, 1.30 pm to 3 pm), and Market Place @ Paragon (8 July, 4.30 pm to 6pm).

Shoppers who spend a minimum of $20 at Cold Storage also stand to win prizes including a pair of air tickets to Tokyo.
