
CMPB at Bukit Gombak is the new destination where future generations of National Service enlistees will start their NS journey. But did you know that the Central Manpower Base, located at Hillview, also has amenities that are open to the public?
The CMPB building, located at the foot of Bukit Gombak looks quite imposing from Upper Bukit Timah Road. It is made up of two blocks, Block 1 and Block 2.
Inside, there are a number of facilities and services that, in addition to serving the military personnel working at Bukit Gombak, are accessible to the general public in Block 1.

What’s at CMPB Bukit Gombak at Hillview
Timbre+ Hillview Food Court

On the second floor of the CMPB building is the Timbre+ Hillview food court.
The 700-seat food court has multiple stalls that offer a variety of food options. The food stalls are lined up along two axes.
There is an obligatory mixed rice stall.
Other stalls that have opened include a Green Abacus, a vegetarian food stall, Manna Fish and Asia Wok.
Ramen Taisho offers both ramen and tsukemen along with karaage and matcha drinks.
Other food options include a Muslim food stall and a yong tau fu stall.
You can also find a Timbre Signatures western food stall within the Timbre+ food court at CMPB with pasta dishes starting from as low as $4 and personal pizzas from $8.80.
Dim sum, nasi lemak stall and a Korean food stall are also available. Even Munchi Pancakes has occupied a stall within the food court.
There is also a bar serving alcoholic beverages.
True to Timbre’s roots, there is a band stage at the far end of the food court.
A karaoke machine and golf simulator are also located within the food court.
The Timbre+ Hillview Food Court is open from 7 am to 10 pm, daily.
Cafe 4 You
Also found on the second floor is a cafe that is open to the public. The cafe has large windows with nice views out towards Upper Bukit Timah Road.
The cafe is open at 7.30 am and serves breakfast such as Thai Breakfast Bee Hoon, Baby Nasi Lemak and Century Egg with Minced Meat Porridge, along with local drinks.
You can also get regular mains such as Asian food, Western dishes, fried rice and more at Cafe 4 You. There is also a bar counter serving up alcoholic beverages.

Cheers
The second floor of the CMPB Bukit Gombak building is also where you will find a Cheers convenience store.
This Cheers store is not your typical store. It is an unmanned Grab & Go store.
To enter, you will need the FairPrice Group app. Scan the app at the gantry to gain access to the store.
You can then pick up whatever items you need before walking out with your purchases. There is a hot water dispenser in the store in case you want to make your cup noodles in a jiffy.
Lifestylemart
Need to spend your SAF credits? There is a SAF Lifestylemart on the first floor of the CMPB Bukit Gombak building.
Take note that the opening days and hours are as follows:
Every day except Tuesdays, 11 am to 9 pm. The Lifestylemart is closed on Tuesday.
ST Logistics Bin
At the opposite end of the first floor, beside the lifts, is where NS men can return their equipment when it is no longer needed.
Pull down the hatch to dispose of uniforms, boots, fieldpacks, helmets and load bearing vests.
Sunflower Preschool
Sunflower Preschool @ Hillview will be opening at the CMPB building at Level 1.
It will offer Infant Care (2 months to 17 months) and Childcare (18 months to 6 years old) services.
Other Facilities: CMPB FCC (Fitness Conditioning Centre) and More
The CMPG Fitness Condition Centre or FCC is located on Level 1 of Block 1.
It was announced that from 14 October 2025, all IPPT and NS Fitness Improvement Training sessions at Maju Camp will be relocated to the FCC at Central Manpower Base.
The facilities at the CMPB FCC include a 300-metre-long running track that can be used in all weather conditions.
At Block 2 of the CMPB building, there are national service administrative services:
- Level 1: CMPG Regional Health Hub – Dental Centre, Medical Centre, Specialist Clinics A & B, and the SAF Physiotherapy Centre.
- Level 2: Medical Classification Centre (MCC)
- Level 3: Service Connect, MINDEF / SAF Career Hub
- Level 6: SAF Counselling Centre
Getting to the CMPB Bukit Gombak Building
The CMPB Bukit Gombak building is connected to the Cashew MRT Station along the Downtown Line via an overhead bridge. The overhead bridge leads to Level 2, close to Cafe 4 You and the Cheers Grab & Go store.
There is also a car park located at Basement 1. To reach the car park, drive in via Hillview Link.
