10 historic buildings around town will light up in red and white in the month of August for National Day as part of the Civic District & Bras Basah.Bugis National Day Light Up 2020.

Buildings around the two heritage districts in the city are turning red-and-white, Singapore’s national colours, in celebration of the country’s 55th National Day.

The light-up is also a show of solidarity with all Singaporeans in what has been a tumultuous year.

Where and When to View the Civic District & Bras Basah.Bugis Light Up #UnitedThroughCulture

The 10 historical monuments and landmarks that are participating in the Civic District & Bras Basah.Bugis Light Up #UnitedThroughCulture are:

The Armenian Church
Asian Civilisations Museum
Cathedral of the Good Shepherd
CHIJMES
The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay
National Gallery Singapore
National Museum of Singapore
The Arts House
Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall

The building light-ups for National Day take place daily from 1 to 30 August 2020, 7.30 pm to midnight.

Civic District Light Up for National Day 2020

The light ups at The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, National Gallery Singapore, The Arts House and Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall have commenced earlier in July.

The lights will also come on earlier in the evening, at 7 pm, over at National Gallery Singapore, The Arts House and Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall.

Those who wish to take a quiet evening walk can start from National Museum of Singapore and make their way through the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct towards the Civic District before ending off at The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.

At National Gallery Singapore, pause to view the 60 artworks being projected on the central veiled canopy of the historic building.
