Chinese New Year 2020 in Singapore

Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebrations 2020: 6 Things To Look Forward To At The Festive Light Up & Year Of The Rat CelebrationThe first day of Chinese New Year 2020 in Singapore falls on Saturday, 25 January 2020 and the upcoming year is known as Chinese Year of the Rat. Also known as the Lunar New Year, the festival is celebrated as a time of reunion with family with friends, and plenty of feasting too.

Chinese New Year’s Eve is traditionally the time for reunion dinners. It is followed by visitations with the extended family and friends over the next few days.

With Chinese New Year 2020 falling on a weekend in Singapore, Monday, 27 January 2020 is a public holiday and Tuesday, 28 January 2020 is a off day for most schools in Singapore. This makes a nice long break to celebrate with the start of the Lunar New Year.

Here is a collection of various things to do and ideas on celebrating Chinese New Year 2020 in Singapore.
