Description of Chile Country Flag
The flag of Chile is composed of two equal horizontal bands of white (top) and red, with a blue square that is the same height as the white band at the hoist-side end of the white band. The square bears a white five-pointed star in the center, signifying a guide to honor and progress; blue stands for the sky; white for the snow-covered Andes; and red for the blood shed to achieve independence.
