Children’s Day in Singapore 2017 falls on Friday, 6 October 2017. It is a day that celebrates kids for who they are – kids.
In Singapore, Children’s Day celebration has been observed since 1961. It was previously celebrated on 1 October and many parents will have fond memories of singing the Children’s Day song, Semoga Bahagia.
Since 2011, it has been observed on the first Friday of October, allowing Primary Six children to enjoy Children’s Day after completing their PSLE!

Go ahead and let the kids indulge in night out at Chinatown. As part of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, the streets of Chinatown have been lit up with thousands of glowing lanterns. This year’s decorations are based on traditional cellophane lanterns. Find out more.
Young Learners’ Festival 2017
Bring your young learners on a journey of discovery where they will learn how people move from place to place. Tinker with cool gliders, make a paper boat and create a camel craft at The Young Learners’ Festival 2017 at Science Centre Singapore. Open to the public from 2 pm to 5 pm on 6 October, and 10 am to 5 pm on 7 and 8 October. More info here.
