Changi Airport is full of kid-friendly play spots – and a new one has been added to the roster with the Hub & Spoke Playground – also known as the Dino Nest Playground, located just outdoors from Terminal 2.
If you are looking for some place where the kids to get some fresh air and stretch their limbs, the Changi Airport Hub & Spoke Playground will be a much-welcomed, free pit stop where kids can burn off some energy and have some fun.
Changi Airport Hub & Spoke Dino Nest Playground: A Sphere of Fun Play Opportunities
Hub & Spoke is an outdoor node just beside Changi Airport Terminal 2. Facilities here include bike rentals, a cafe and a bar. It also marks the start of the Changi Airport Connector which leads on to Terminal 4, the dinosaur-filled Jurassic Mile and East Coast Park.

Hub & Spoke has now become even more kid-friendly with the opening of a new, open-to-public outdoor children’s playground.
The brown-and-blue playground can be found nestled beneath the shade of mature trees. With different levels, the Hub & Spoke playground offers different layers of play opportunities.
Kids can use a cargo net gangway to climb into the playground structure. Or they can make use of the arced ladder at one side to reacher the first elevated level of the playground.
This first layer is fashioned to look a bit like a ship’s crow’s nest and kids can keep a lookout by peering out through the meshed netting that forms the side walls of this layer.
A open, straight blue slide provides kids with a way to quickly return back to the padded playground floor below.
From the first level of the playground, the more intrepid kids can ascend even further upwards into the globe above.
Into the Sphere
Climbing up a platform and scaling up another cargo net will lead them to the spherical structure that forms that top of the Changi Airport Hub & Spoke Playground.
Inside, they will find themselves in a spherical world of their own, one where they can get a good vantage point of the surrounding area.
This top level of the playground is also where kids can access the top slide. This is an enclosed blue slide that curves around as it descends back to the playground floor.
The playground at Hub & Spoke offers kids different levels where they can climb, slide and get moving, ascending and descending through the play structure.
We also noticed that the playground’s padded flooring has the dinosaur-sized bone designs and what looks like geographical contour lines. These are a subtle nod towards the Jurassic Mile theming that extends along the Changi Airport Park Connector.
The Changi Airport Hub & Spoke Playground is designed for children from the ages of 5 to 12 years old.
How to Get to the Changi Airport Hub & Spoke Playground
The playground at Hub & Spoke neatly fills in a gap in terms of play areas for kids in the public areas of Changi Airport Terminal 2. While Changi Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 both have free public playgrounds, until now, Changi Airport Terminal 2 does not. Since Hub & Spoke is adjacent to Terminal 2, families there can head to Hub & Spoke to enjoy some outdoor play time.
To reach Hub & Spoke and its playground from within Terminal 2, head to Level 1, towards McDonald’s and Car Park 2A. Exit the terminal building to the Coach Bay and follow the signs that point to Hub & Spoke, which is located at the exit of Car Park 2A.
You will find the Hub & Spoke Dino Nest Playground just past the Hub & Spoke Cafe and behind the Overflow garden bar.
