From its experimental beginnings to its use as an influential wartime medium, and its roles in entertainment and shaping society, Celebrating Radio: Sounds from the Past traces the evolution of Singapore’s broadcasting history from the 1930s to 1980s.
In the specially designed children’s activity area within the Celebrating Radio: Sounds from the Past exhibition, your little ones can have a go at being a radio DJ in a broadcasting studio and learn more about children’s radio programmes in the past. Join your young ones in designing their own vinyl record album cover or creating a vintage radio box! Plus, try out various instruments and props to create audio effects used in radio plays in the past and even today.
There is a 30-minute interactive tour available for pre-schoolers, which is followed by 30 minutes of facilitated craft activities. Please note that guided tours are subject to the availability of docents.
