It is not every day that one comes across a mermaid along Orchard Road but you can do so every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in April 2019 at ION Orchard.
Watch as the mermaid swims gracefully in 8,000 litres of seawater on the weekends in April at 5 pm, 6 pm and 7 pm. This mermaid tank installation is the first of its kind along Orchard Road and located at the ION2 outdoor space.
The mermaid will also pose with shoppers from her 2.4 square metre, 1.8-metre-tall purpose-built tank.

The sequined-tailed mermaid is part of ION Orchard’s Spring Summer fashion season 2019 – Rhythm of the Ocean.

In keeping with season’s underwater fantasy theme, the ION2 outdoor space has been transformed into a picturesque Aquatic Garden, complete with the sounds of marine life and decorative lighting.
Pose under an optical illusion see-through water ceiling installation for capture the perfect picture.
ION Orchard’s 10th Anniversary Celebrations
The mermaid installation also serves to kickstart the ION Orchard’s 10th anniversary celebrations. Other activities that shoppers can look forward to at ION Orchard throughout 2019 include flash deals, pop-ups and exhibitions.
