“Subbuteo”, or Sports Table Football, was widely popular in the 80s and 90s, and in recent years have seen a revival in Singapore with teenage participants taking up the sport and representing Singapore for the World Cup. It is a competitive tabletop game played by two teams with 11 finger-sized figurines, which are controlled with a flick of the finger. The rules are similar to regular soccer, with free kicks, throw ins, and corners, and each gameplay takes about 30 minutes. Players take turns flicking the figurines to kick the ball up to three consecutive times per turn to score goals against the opponent goalie.
