The arts don’t just happen in the theatres, on concert stages or in black boxes. Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) brings fun and enriching arts experiences right to your doorstep!
This March, we rediscover the neighbourhood of Bukit Panjang, with arts activities happening from 12 to 29 March 2020.
AYN March 2020 inspires arts appreciation in the young through an engaging line-up of family-friendly arts experiences. It also inspires a sense of home and belonging, with enriching arts experiences in unconventional and perhaps lesser-known spaces of the neighbourhood, nooks and corners of Bukit Panjang near to where people live, work and play.
Outside of Bukit Panjang, other arts activities will be happening across the island including Bedok Town Square, Toa Payoh HDB Hub Atrium, Kampung Admiralty, KINEX Mall, and Oasis Terraces. Audiences will be treated to a delightful line-up of over 40 arts activities, ranging from dance, music and theatrical performances, to interactive visual art installations and hands-on activities.

Rolling On raises awareness of Earth Hour through a dance performance and parade. The performance is made from movements co-created between children and artists. In finding cyclical patterns in their bodies and in nature, they create specific dance moves to be performed together with audience-participants and animate the values behind the expression – “what goes around, comes around”.
