Using the first two packs of LEGO materials, the outdoor seating and main structure of the diner are constructed, with the transparent windows positioned on either side and the entrance serving as focal points, offering a glimpse into the lively dining scene.
The instruction booklet places the diner in a central location relative to the LEGO Friends characters’ living spaces, indicating it as their primary social gathering place.
As we assembled the characters, their unique personalities become evident.
Charli, the star employee of the diner, wears a white apron, burger pin, nametag and a neon blue hairdo. A poster at the front of the diner highlights his achievements.
Liann, a sporty character, is seen riding a skateboard around town, while hardworking Aliya is accompanied by her feline companion, Shadow.
We even spotted a “Wanted” notice for Shadow. Obviously, the cat had been up to some mischievous pranks!
The diner’s facade exudes an 80s styled retro feel with its red and white roof, coral stripes adorning the windows, and a sizable sandwich model positioned above the entrance. The restaurant’s primary entrance features chequered floor tiling. Inside, guests are greeted with an arcade and a jukebox.
Thanks to a gear mechanism, the jukebox can rock back and forth in response to the music, adding to the imaginative playability of the set.
This diner even has a skateboard drive-through, with a cute outdoor menu featuring burgers and drinks.
The outdoor seating booth can seat up to four LEGO Friends characters comfortably, and with the accessories provided such as drinks, money, napkin holder, children can pretend to have a party at the diner.
