The next time you visit a FairPrice Xtra hypermarket, you may be able to pick up some cute plushies or blind boxes. The FairPrice Xtra outlets at JEM, Jurong Point, NEX, AMK Hub and VivoCity now have Xtra Play Markets, developed in partnership with the game-play and entertainment brand Play Nation.
Xtra Play Market: Playful Experiences at Selected FairPrice Xtra Stores
Xtra Play Market invites shoppers to explore, play, and indulge in their sense of curiosity with well-loved global franchises like Sanrio and Care Bears to uniquely local creations. You may even find gachapon machines at the Xtra Play Markets.

Abalone Market Plush Experience
To celebrate Chinese New Year, Xtra Play Market has debuted a first-of-its-kind Abalone Market Plush Experience, only at FairPrice Xtra AMK Hub.
Choose from six different Abalone Darlings – plush key rings representing auspicious themes such as longevity and love. Each Abalone Darling is priced at $18.80.
Each character is designed to either hug a symbolic item like mandarin oranges or a gold nugget, or “open their hands” to link with one another – a playful nod to togetherness, connection, and reunion this Chinese New Year.
To take part in the experience, pick the card of the character that you want, make payment at the cashier and present the card and the receipt at the Abalone Market Plush Experience counter.
The character will then be “cleaned”, “cooked” and sealed into cans to create personalised and gift-ready keepsakes.
This experience is available from now to 18 February 2026 (11 am to 7 pm daily) while stocks last.
Chinese New Year Festive Drops
Play Nation also brings a curated line-up of specially created CNY-themed blind boxes and plush collectibles for the Chinese New Year season.
These include The Auspicious Huat Ah Crew, plush key rings in eight designs, blind box format at $14.90 each, and Fortune Nibbles, plush key rings in eight designs, blind box format, $15.90 each).
In addition to the FairPrice Xtra stores, these will also be available at FairPrice and FairPrice Finest, as well as selected Cheers and FairPrice Express stores, available while stocks last.
